Accommodation overview: Approached via a sweeping drive through a private golf course, St Audry’s House is a magnificent, classical, 7000 sq ft mansion house set in a quiet residential development. The house has been superbly refurbished in a New England style, is equipped to a very high standard and visitors will marvel at the scale of the accommodation arranged over three floors.
As guests enter St Audry’s House they will find off the entrance hallway an elegant dining room with feature fireplace, a spacious drawing room, a play room for the children and an enormous open-plan kitchen with large breakfast area and second dining table and chairs. Leading off the breakfast area is a spacious family room with Sky TV, comfortable sofas and double sofa bed. Halfway up the grand staircase there is a charming window seat, the perfect spot to sit and read as the sun pours in. On the first floor there is a super master bedroom suite with en-suite bathroom, dressing room, seating and views to the golf course. Aldeburgh and Southwold beaches are just 20-30 minutes’ drive away for a super seaside day out.
St Audry’s House is situated in Melton, a small village just two miles from the historic market town of Woodbridge, which is a town of considerable character on the west bank of the River Deben, well known for its sailing facilities and superb riverside walks. The picturesque streets are lined with historic and interesting buildings and the town boasts some of the best independent boutiques, art galleries and shops in Suffolk.
