Only 13 miles away the elegant resort of Southwold is renowned for its colourful beach huts traditional pier lighthouse and Adnams beer. From the harbourside there is an easy walk over the footbridge to the pretty village of Walberswick (of crabbing competition fame). Energetic walkers can continue on to Dunwich fortifying themselves with fish and chips on the beach before heading on to RSPB Minsmere.
