Marsh Farm Country Park in South Woodham Ferrers occupies 320 acres of low-lying reclaimed marshland. Accommodation overview: Cardy Net House was built in 1867 by D. Gillies, a direct descendant of Alexander Selkirk (Robinson Crusoe) who was born in Lower Largo. This former net factory supplied fishing nets for the herring industry and was skilfully renovated by the architect owners to offer an exceptional and unique holiday home which has featured on television. The impressive interior has a vast open plan living area, one wall is entirely glazed with triple patio doors opening onto a sun terrace overlooking the beach and enjoying magnificent uninterrupted views across the sea and East coastline.
