Accommodation overview: Enjoying a beautiful waterfront location, these three holiday properties (refs CBBH, CBBJ and CYY) have their own private mooring and superb views over the River Thurne and a National Trust wildlife reserve (which featured in the BBC1 TV series Secret Britain). Ferry View, standing detached, and Heigham View, one of a pair, offer spacious accommodation for larger groups and have a first floor balcony where guests can take in the abundant birdlife. Ferry Cottage is a detached, two-bedroomed property with rooms all on the ground floor. All offer the very best in waterside living. For the fisherman, this part of the Broads offers some of the best coarse fishing anywhere in the UK (fishing licence required). For the nature enthusiast, everything is on the doorstep - walking and cycling can be enjoyed along a network of quiet lanes and the river and the Broads can be explored by boat, which can be hired directly from the owner. Winterton-on-Sea is a short drive away with its wonderful sandy beach and dunes. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the north beach is home to a colony of grey seals.
The BeWILDerwood Outdoor Adventure Park at Horning offers treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and more - all adding up to a great day out for children. The fine city of Norwich with its cathedrals, castle, museums, theatre and vast array of cafes and shops is half an hour away. There is a wealth of National Trust properties to visit in the area, which include Felbrigg Hall, Garden and Park (one of the finest Jacobean houses in East Anglia), the beautifully landscaped Sheringham Park and the magnificent Blickling Hall with its woodland and lakeside walks. Horsey Wind Pump is only 3 miles away (and a good destination for a boat trip).

Located at the epicentre of Norfolk’s finest attractions, guests at Haveringland Hall will find themselves only a short drive away from fine golf at Weston Park and Barnham Broom, and walking and cycling paths such as The Marriots Way, The Bure Valley and Weavers Way. Accommodation overview: Believed to be the oldest surviving house in its village (circa 1590), this spacious, detached, Grade II listed holiday property is beautifully positioned on the Upper Wensum an S.S.S.I. (with resident swans and mallards), yet only 5 miles from the attractive city of Norwich. It stands in secluded, mature lawned gardens, which are completely secure and benefits from sole use of an inter-connecting indoor heated swimming pool. With over 200 feet of private river frontage, two Canadian canoes and decked seating area with canopy cover this makes the perfect spot for visitors to dine and enjoy this idyllic setting, disturbed only by the sound of the occasional rowing boat of an angler.
