Accommodation overview: Regular visitors to Borrowdale will be familiar with the former Yew Tree Inn at Seatoller, which the owners of Honister Slate Mine have converted into the ultimate in luxurious self catering, Built in the 17th century Honisters Cottage just oozes character, it retains its traditional features, including slate floors, open fire, a wealth of beams (some of which are very low) and original timber partitions, but with the benefit of a modern kitchen and bathrooms and beautiful furnishings. It is situated at the foot of Honister Pass and next to the Yew Tree tea room (seasonal opening) and has the benefit of a large rear garden leading down to a fast flowing ghyll. A welcome hamper of the finest Cumbrian foods is provided and guests can order an evening meal comprising of 3 courses for £25 per person.

Accommodation overview: Old Brown Howe is five and a half miles south of Coniston Village, on the south western side of Coniston Water. Set well back from the main road, in one and a quarter acres of woodland and only 50 yards from the lake, Potters Wheel has direct access to the Lake shore for fishing, sailing and simply enjoying getting your feet wet. Potters Wheel is an end of terrace cottage, totally refurbished by its new owner and now provides excellent facilities to ensure a most enjoyable and unforgettable holiday. Accommodation overview: Newton Reigny is a peaceful village 3 miles from Penrith and with the benefit of easy access to the M6. Ullswater, the Northern Lakes and the Eden Valley are all easily accessible and the village benefits from a pub serving bar meals. These 2 characterful barn conversations (Lilac Barn property number 118168) have an interconnecting door and may be let separately or together for up to 6 people and situated in the village of Newton Reigny the Lilacs was originally a farm and the 2 cottages were the Byre and adjoining barn. More recently it was the home to Simon Bull, a well known Cumbrian artist and Lilac Studio was where he did his painting. Accommodation overview: This former Cumbrian farmhouse enjoys a spectacular remote location, high up on Bampton Common among the Lake Districts eastern fells and close to Ullswater and Haweswater. Carhullan was completely modernised in 2008 by the owners, who retained the character of the property and complemented it with furnishings and equipment of the highest quality. The location of Carhullan, two miles from the village of Bampton and eight miles from Penrith is a perfect peaceful retreat, yet only 15 minutes from the M6. It is accessed along a no through road where it is situated at the very end, approximately two miles. There are walks from the doorstep, over High Street to Ullswater and across Bampton Common to Haweswater.
