Accommodation overview: A superb example of our English heritage, Underfield Cottage sits within the Underfield Estate, Greenodd, only 8 miles from Coniston and within 5 miles of Fell Foot, Windermere. Built in 1646, the cottage displays a wealth of architectural detail including exposed beams, intricate panelling and stone mullion windows, all protected under Grade II star status.Set in over 40 acres of woodland, the grounds offer the opportunity to be at one with nature, the ancient rhoddedendrons creating a wash of colour across the landscape intermingled with well established trees and shrubs, the lower stems of which attract local deer and other native wildlife.
