The cottage is situated one mile north of the unspoilt village of Ireby with the renowned Black Lion pub and 4 miles from the nearest shopping centre which is the bustling market town of Wigton. Cockermouth and Keswick are 12 miles away with the Lake District a short drive beyond. Accommodation overview: Regular visitors to Borrowdale will be familiar with the former Yew Tree Inn at Seatoller, which the owners of Honister Slate Mine have converted into the ultimate in luxurious self catering, Built in the 17th century Honisters Cottage just oozes character, it retains its traditional features, including slate floors, open fire, a wealth of beams (some of which are very low) and original timber partitions, but with the benefit of a modern kitchen and bathrooms and beautiful furnishings.
