Within a short drive of some of the most popular sandy surfing beaches in the county, there is much to see and do. Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe beaches are famous for their golden sand and surf and there are also villages and towns such as Lynmouth and Ilfracombe with their harbours and fishing trips. Other attractions well worth a visit include National Trust Arlington Court, Marwood Gardens, Watermouth Castle and The Valley of the Rocks, to name a few. Walkers will enjoy strolling the countryside around the property and there is also Exmoor which is very accessible and famed for its beauty and wildlife. The regional town of Barnstaple has a range of leisure facilities including swimming pool, tennis, theatre and cinema. There are pubs which serve food with the nearest being a 20 minute cross country walk. Relax in the enclosed garden or enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace and take in the lovely views and breathtaking sunsets. You will enjoy the company of a wide variety of birds and maybe catch a glimpse of the red deer grazing peacefully in the distance. The accommodation is furnished and equipped to a high standard and offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double and 2 zip-and-link twins which can be king-size doubles on request. All bedrooms have TV. Bathroom: with mixer shower over bath and WC, which can be closed off to provide an en-suite for the double. Shower room: with WC. Lounge: large with TV, DVD, hi-fi and wood burner (logs included). Kitchen/diner: with range cooker, American style fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave and patio doors leading to decked area. Utility room: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Accommodation overview: Situated in the heart of the picturesque coastal village of Croyde, this beautifully presented, detached cottage lies within walking distance of the popular beach, with its excellent surf, and the village’s many shops, pubs and restaurants. Accessed over a narrow bridge, it has a well laid out garden and even boasts a hot tub for guests to enjoy.
The cottage is well laid out to provide room for all occasions. It has full central heating, as well as a wood-burning stove which makes it ideal to visit at any time of the year. With modern facilities, it makes an idea place for a holiday, to either stay close and enjoy the beach, or guests can venture out and explore the surrounding countryside walks.
Bridge Cottage also a makes a wonderful base from which to explore the other attractions that North Devon has to offer. These include the beaches at Saunton and Woolacombe, the harbour at Ilfracombe, Arlington House, Lynton and Lynmouth and the Exmoor National Park. For younger ones there is the adventure park at Watermouth Castle and the Big Sheep at Bideford. Golf courses are available at Saunton and Bideford. Other activities including horse riding and fishing are all available locally. Shops and pub 50 yards. Large living room with wood-burning stove and wooden floor. TV room with French doors to garden.
