An ideal spot from where to explore the whole of North Devon, yet minutes from the coast at Combe Martin. Spend the long summer days in idyllic surroundings beside Exmoor, an excellent walking location and part of the Tarka Trail. To the east of Combe Martin lies Exmoor, to the west lies the picturesque village of Berrynarbor. The nearby golden beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton provide some of the best surfing in the UK and the Tarka Trail is virtually on the doorstep. If you should need to venture beyond Patchole Manor, there are a number of vibrant restaurants to enjoy top quality food. One worth a visit is the acclaimed artist Damien Hirst who is part owner of 11 The Quay, Ilfracombe. Here there is an eclectic mix of food and art providing a whole new dining experience. The fabulous Country House accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms: all on the first floor, 1 double, decorated and furnished in a French renaissance style, with TV, en-suite shower room with WC. 1 further double with 5' four-poster, wooden flooring, TV and a couple of steps down to the en-suite with roll-top bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. 1 twin room with wooden flooring and en-suite shower room with WC. The fourth bedroom is a large suite incorporating a seating area with double sofa bed, 6' zip-and-link double which could be a twin if preferred, TV, seating and large, luxury bathroom with freestanding roll-top bath, separate shower cubicle, twin washbasins and WC. The entrance hall is bright and spacious with traditional tiled floor and elegant turned staircase. Lounge: large with deep, comfortable sofas, armchairs, wood burner and TV/DVD. Dining room: large with wood burner, hi-fi and large table comfortably seating 8. Games room: adjoining the dining room with a pool table, Wii games console, wall mounted TV and a selection of board games, a super room for entertainment.
