Accommodation overview: The Laurels is a superb example of a large, Grade II Listed town house, which is decorated to a very good standard, located in the very small, friendly town of Bishops Castle. The holiday home is within walking distance of the many interesting little shops in the main street, two banks, PO and five pubs, two of which are famous for brewing their own beer. There are several good restaurants and also a very good Indian restaurant. Shrewsbury - a delightful medieval town with the River Severn flowing through its midst makes for a pleasant day out, as do Ludlow, Powys Castle, Offa’s Dyke, the Long Mynd and Acton Scott Working Farm Museum. There are also many picturesque villages in the surrounding area. Many National Trust properties are nearby and the whole area is very popular with walkers and hikers.
