Set in a slightly elevated position away from main roads, and on the owners’ estate, there are far reaching views across open countryside and meadows - making this a truly peaceful setting. Drury Lane Barn is situated less than 5 miles from Whitchurch - a compact Shropshire town just inside Shropshire’s border with Wales. It is a town steeped in history with an array of beautiful buildings that house shops, pubs and some very notable restaurants. Built in Queen Anne style, the distinctive St Alkmund’s Church dominates the town, and the courtyard off the Bullring survives as the last remaining of several which existed until the 1950s. Close by are the villages of Hanmer and Malpas, with the City of Chester, Shrewsbury, and Llangollen with its river, canal, mountains and wonderful views of the Welsh countryside, all within easy access. The barn’s central position on the Welsh, Shropshire and Cheshire borders makes it a perfect holiday base for exploring the sights of the three counties.
