Widemouth Bay offers a mile-long sandy beach, which is regarded as one of the finest in Cornwall. This stretch of coast is steeped in the smuggling history, and not far south of Widemouth Bay some amazing little inlets and coves can be found.
Widemouth Bay itself is a very convenient location for those wishing to visit other places of interest - and being close to the Cornwall/Devon border, visitors are able to see the steep cobbled streets of Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Hartland, Ilfracombe, Exmoor and Dartmoor, as well as Bodmin Moor which lies further afield.
