Accommodation overview: From its elevated position commanding outstanding views of the surrounding countryside, this ancient Manor site has been home through the centuries to notorious adventurers and noblemen. The present owners, Malcolm and Liz Wright, converted the medieval stone barns into luxury holiday cottages designed specifically for those who like their own private space but also wish to take advantage of excellent on-site amenities. All the cottages have their own private gardens, car parking and lovely panoramic views. Inside, the cottages have fully-equipped fitted kitchens including electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. All have a lounge with TV and DVD, an en-suite bedroom and central heating throughout to keep you warm and cosy at any time of the year. The Swimspa is unique as it is booked by your family for your own exclusive use making it ideal for teaching young children to swim or for those who just like their own private space. Unwind in Caribbean temperatures after a day’s sightseeing, ease aching muscles after tackling the coast path, exercise against the counter-current after too many cream teas or just relax in the spa or steam room. Free complimentary session, extra cost thereafter. Swimspa open between 23 March - 26 October and for Xmas/ New Year. Also at Woolstone: - Full-size indoor tennis court - Games room with pool table and table tennis - Outdoor giant chess set - Duck pond and fish pond - Rabbits and ducks - River trout fishing and coarse lake fishing - Woodland walk and kite flying field - Laundry room with wet suit drying area - Payphone - Dogs by arrangement (we regret dogs cannot be accepted during the school summer holidays)Cottage open all year. Location: 3 minutes away by car is the beautiful sandy beach of Widemouth Bay and 8 minutes will bring you to Bude, a real little town alive all year round with plenty of shops and restaurants. It also provides horse riding, an 18 hole links golf course, sport and leisure centre, bowling greens, coarse and sea fishing and a choice of award-winning clean beaches with beautiful cliff top walks. In 2004 the centuries old wainhouse was converted into an outstanding holiday cottage, it has been equipped to an exceptionally high standard and the views from every window can only be described as breathtaking. The property offers TWO bedrooms: both with TV's, 1 double with en-suite bathroom and 1 twin. Shower room: adjacent to the twin bedroom. Lounge: very spacious with old oak beams, vaulted ceiling, TV, DVD and video.
