Accommodation overview: This substantial adjoining Georgian family house occupies a delightful setting just one mile from the heart of Uttoxeter, yet is located in a quiet country lane adjacent to the golf course. Uttoxeter is a friendly market town with colourful markets held each Wednesday and Saturday, it is also home to Uttoxeter Racecourse, which offers horse racing, family fun days, antique fairs and much more. Furnished in traditional style and offering spacious accommodation, this property provides an excellent holiday base from which to explore the many attractions in the surrounding area. For a family day out try visiting nearby Alton Towers Theme Park, Blackbrook Zoological Park, Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forest and Twycross Zoo. Sudbury Hall is well worth a visit, built in the second half of the 17th century by George Vernon, it boasts many fine rooms for visitors to explore and the Long Gallery and Main Hall which was featured in the BBC’s Pride and Predudice. Located next to Sudury Hall is the Museum of Childhood which makes a great day out for all the family with many activities for children. Further northwest is Kedleston Hall, with its beautiful restored gardens and surrounding park which includes a fishing pavilion and a series of lakes and cascades. It also offers a restaurant and National Trust shop. Alternatively try shooting at Doveridge Clay Sports, have a day at the renowned Uttoxeter Racecourse, which is on the doorstep, or experience the stunning landscape of the Peak District National Park.
