Accommodation overview: This detached house offers a very high standard of holiday accommodation in one of Cornwall's most popular holiday destinations. With far-reaching views from the property, this area of the North Coast is a surfer's paradise with lifeguard patrolled sandy beaches and for the more energetic, there are tall and spectacular cliff-top walks. Just outside Portreath is Tehidy Country Park, a beautiful country park spanning 250 acres, mostly of woodland, with around 9 miles of nature trails. A perfect base, you will be within a short drive of a wealth of popular attractions to suit all tastes and these include The Eden Project, Flambards Theme Park, Lands End, Tate Gallery at St Ives, St Michaels Mount and more. Closer to home there are pubs, shops, a golf course and other leisure facilities on offer. There are some outstanding walks from the property to the coastal path and local tramlines to the village. In the evenings relax in the enclosed garden with patio and enjoy a BBQ. Leisure facilities: hot tub available all year round. The fenced, heated swimming pool is available from late May to the middle of September. The spacious property is surrounded by the owner's fields and is perfect for those requiring a peaceful, relaxing holiday and offers FIVE bedrooms: 2 doubles, both with TV, Freeview, video and en-suite shower room and WC, 1 twin and 2 singles. Sitting within the quiet hamlet of Mawla, rest and relaxation is guaranteed, yet just a short drive to some of Cornwall's most popular surfing hot spots. Portreath, St Agnes, Porthtowan and the capital city of Truro is only 10 miles away and offers a wealth of shopping opportunities to pick up the perfect memento, as well as a host of restaurants and pubs to sample the local delicacies. The surrounding countryside offer some of the finest routes for walkers and cyclists alike, littered with stunning views and picturesque relics of Cornwall's mining heritage, and some of the most beautiful and rugged coastline to enjoy. The old tramway is a 2 minute walk, this is now a bridle and cycle path from Devoran to Portreath with cycle hire and riding stables just down the road. Approached via a long, made farm lane with views over rolling fields to the bays of Portreath, this thoughtfully converted listed barn has many original features to be enjoyed. A perfect way for two families to enjoy a Cornish holiday with the living area situated on the first floor overlooking the field which children can play in along with benches and tables for guests to sit and relax, and beyond to the bay at Portreath. This unique barn is semi-detached but remains private and enjoys a choice of two patio areas (one of which is enclosed) and children's play area in a field just across the way with swings and slides. A host of footpaths run from the property to an array of different locations encompassing environments such as wooded areas, streams, fields and cliffs. An enticing stroll down through the woods to the beach will reveal the coves and harbour of Portreath with excellent surf, and stretches of golden sand. There are several new "mining trails" in the area, ideal for cycling or walking, one of which leads straight from the farm. Nearby is the popular golf course of Tehidy and within a short drive you will find the towns of St Ives, Penzance, Truro and Falmouth all boasting excellent restaurants. The accommodation offers FIVE bedrooms: 3 of which are situated on the ground floor 1 four-poster double with en-suite with shower over bath and WC, 1 small twin and 1 further double with en-suite shower and WC (this room also has French doors that lead to an enclosed patio area). On the first floor 1 double and 1 twin bedroom both with sea views. Bathroom: on the ground floor with shower over bath and WC. Shower room with WC on the first floor. Lounge: also situated on the first floor, galleried area with views over the land to the bay at Portreath. Having TV, DVD and a feature balcony area with seating that is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the evenings. Kitchen/diner: well-equipped, situated on the ground floor with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
