Both holiday properties are single-storey with vaulted ceilings and are situated down a quiet leafy lane within the grounds of the owners’ listed 17th-century mill house where there are Soay sheep, ducks and chickens. The ancient Cinque Port of Rye with its cobbled streets and antique shops, the seaside town of Hastings and the attractive market towns of Battle and Tenterden are all within a 20 minute drive. Great Dixter House and Gardens - regarded as the epitome of English plantmanship - and the medieval moated castle at Bodiam are close by. Scotney Castle, Bateman’s, Sissinghurst and Smallhythe National Trust properties are within easy reach. Shops 1½ miles, pub 1 mile.
