Visit one of the countries most beautiful gardens and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, which can be reaches either on foot or by bike from the house along an off road trail. A little further afield leads to many beautiful beaches on the Roseland Peninsula, all of them providing the quintessential ingredients for that traditional family holiday. The world renowned Eden Project, with its wonderful tropical biomes and unusual plants and flowers is a must for every visitor in Cornwall. The Eden Project also has many events throughout the summer all worth seeing. The hamlet of Pentewan, just minutes from Mevagissey, has a large sandy beach and off road cycle trail, bike hire, kayak hire and dive centre. Many walks can be taken around this part of the county; from coastal rambles, disused heritage trails that cross the county, to inland wooded walks to something a little more strenuous for the more active. Horse riding, surfing, cycling and NT houses and gardens are plentiful in this area. Shop and pub 500 yards.
