There are many picturesque towns and villages to visit locally, including Clare, Lavenham, Long Melford, Cavendish and Bury St. Edmunds, all with an interesting range of shops, restaurants and attractions. Wash Farm is conveniently situated for visiting Newmarket for a day at the races or a visit to the National Horse Racing Museum and the historic city of Cambridge, with its world famous colleges, museums, botanic gardens and punting on the River Cam.
