Accommodation overview: Chapel Cottage is a traditional stone cottage with a timber frame extension set in a large garden, opening out onto fields, situated on a no-through road in a very secluded hamlet. There is little traffic beyond the occasional tractor or car. Small children will enjoy the chickens, horses and sheep in the neighbouring fields on walks short enough for little legs and can enjoy cycling or a visit to the village well. There are great longer walks which dogs love leading from the village to Worton Wood, and footpaths to Great Tew, Sandford and beyond. If you are a keen cyclist Ledwell is an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds. Great Tew, with the famous Falkland Arms pub, is only 2 miles away and for those keen on real ale you can take a tour round the Hook Norton brewery, a Victorian brewery using one of the last commercially operated steam engines. There are excellent farmers’ markets every Saturday in villages within 15 minutes of the cottage and a wide range of restaurants, and cafes in the nearest town Chipping Norton, which also has a lido and indoor swimming pool. The designer outlet centre of Bicester Village is only 20 minutes away and other attractions within a 30 minute car drive include Blenheim Palace, traditional Cotwold villages Stow-on-the Wold and Burford, and Oxford. Stratford-upon- Avon is also within easy reach. Shop and pub 1½ miles. Large living/dining room with wood-burning stove, quarry tiled floor and beams. Well-equipped modern kitchen with limestone tiled floor and French doors to terrace. Utility. Wet room. First floor: Three double bedrooms, one with garden views. Bunk bedroom. Single bedroom. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet. Separate toilet.
