Just a mile away (much less by footpath) is Builth Wells golf club where visitors may play at a reduced rate and the reservoirs of the beautiful Elan Valley are popular for fishing cycling and picnicking. A spectacular (daily) Red kite feeding station craft and pottery makers Welsh Royal Crystal and the book town of Hay on Wye are all close by and for children there is a nearby play barn and adventure park indoor activity centre cycle hire and pony trekking.
