Days out locally may include visiting three great NT properties, Powis Castle, Chirk Castle and Erddig, a day at Bangor-on-Dee or Chester races, a trip on a steam train or canal boat. A little further afield are Snowdon or the west Wales coastline with its fabulous sandy beaches. Walking, horseriding, clay pigeon shooting and golf available locally, and Bryn Tanat has rights to 1 mile of fishing on the River Tanat from its riverside lawn and woodland.
