Accommodation overview: Beautifully situated within a National Park on a working farm between Killin and Crianlarich, this historic farmhouse enjoys an elevated situation with panoramic views over Glen Dochart to the surrounding mountain peaks. The interior has been completely rebuilt and is particularly well- appointed and presented featuring high ceilings and large windows. The large enclosed garden with patio enjoys lovely sunsets to the west.
Killin, 4 miles away, stands beside the River Dochart at the picturesque Falls of Dochart near the head of Loch Tay with good local facilities and a lovely golf course. Crianlarich has a station on the West Highland line offering spectacular rail trips. Local activities include climbing, walking, biking, water sports, sailing and rafting. The owners can arrange angling on a 7-mile private stretch of river. This convenient location, just off the main road west, offers excellent touring opportunities. Hotel/restaurant 1/2 mile, shops 4 miles.

Accommodation overview: Hidden high in the Perthshire Hills overlooking the strath towards Gleneagles, this fantastic holiday home was sustainably built on the ruins of an old steading in 2009. It offers comforts of modern living with a feel of the elegance of a bygone era. With indoor games room, outdoor hot tub with views towards the Sidlaw Hills, covered courtyard swimming pool, croquet lawn, trampoline, swings, slides and football pitch, there is plenty to keep everyone of all ages happy. The house has been stunningly interior-designed throughout, using some of the most sumptuous fabrics available. From the back door there is wonderful hill walking directly onto the heather hill. Perthshire is home to some of Scotland’s most stunning scenery, ranging from the domestic farmlands of Strathtay, the Highlands behind Crieff and Aberfeldy, to the ancient granite ochils on which Alexander House sits. Horse riding, falconry, shooting school, restaurants, quad biking, fishing and clay pigeon shooting are available nearby and there are 40 golf courses in the area. Scotland’s smallest distillery (Edradour in Pitlochry) is an hour away and its oldest (Glenturret at Crieff), is only 20 minutes away. The cottage has its own lawn and private parking and there are 10 acres of walled gardens, grounds and woodlands to explore. The cottage is in a secluded location yet only 500 yards from the centre of Blairgowrie, a pretty little market town sitting round the River Ericht with excellent shops, cafes and pubs. At the geographical centre of Scotland, this is a historic crossroads with routes leading north into Glenshee and the Cairngorm National Park, east to the glens and sandy beaches of Angus, south to the cities of Perth and Edinburgh and west to the famous Perthshire lochs, making it the perfect touring base. The championship Rosemount golf course is a mile from the properties and there are another 40 courses within a half-hour drive. Other activities include hill walking, angling, winter sports, field sports and ornithology.
