The conservation village of New Lanark is the gateway to the Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve and from here you can enjoy lovely riverside walks through the reserve following the footsteps of many famous poets and painters. The scenic Clyde Valley with its excellent amenities and facilities is nearby and golf, fishing, cycling and walking are popular in the area.
