The UK's best mountain bike tracks are close by (there are two bicycles available free of charge for exploring them) and with a footpath to Ben Nevis just ½ mile away the local hill walking climbing and skiing (in season) are excellent. Trips to the Silver Sands of Morar and ferry port of Mallaig passing Glenfinnan where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard in 1745 are a must.
