Accommodation overview: Set next to a walled garden of 1.5 acres, this delightful traditional stone-built cottage was originally built to house the gardener for the 1000 acre estate surrounding a large Victorian mansion but has now been extended and extensively renovated to create a warm, elegant home in the country house style. Accessed by 1/2 mile of private road from the main West Coast route south of Oban (4 miles away), this is an ideal peaceful location yet within easy reach of many activities and places of interest. Oban offers trips to the islands, a distillery, cinema and sports centre as well as extensive shopping. Sailing, diving, horse-riding, water sports, golf and tennis can all be arranged. Guests staying at Glenfeochan enjoy free fishing for sea trout, brownies and possibly even a salmon on the River Nell. Loch fishing can also be arranged. Shops 4 miles. Good choice of restaurants in the area. This charming cottage has its own pretty enclosed garden with barbecue and teak furniture, and guests may also use a picnic site (with pinic table) on the top of the hill behind the cottage with superb views over the valley.
