Customer reviews

Feedback from customers about Ystabl-Dyffryn-Ceiriog-Debeighshire includes:

"If you need a total away from all the stresses and strains of a busy life then look no further. This is tranquillity itself with its wonderful roaring river to laze the day away by and a roaring log fire to do the same in front of at night. "

Mrs P, 26/11/2009 04:05

"My husband and I took our 7 month old puppy Ollie for his first country holiday and have to say how impressed we were with this accommodation and its magnificent setting. It is truly a stunning and luxurious barn conversion maintained to a very high standard. Whilst we had taken Ollie's crate and supplies with us on arrival we found comfy dog beds towels and bowls provided. The owners are very friendly and helpful and seek to minimise any disruption from the farm - though to us this is all part of the experience. We were made to feel very welcome and free to roam the farm and surrounding area. Using the hot tub under the stars has to be one of the highlights of the holiday. It might have only been 8 degrees outside but in the tub it was 38 degrees and lovely. The drive from the village to the accommodation is a typical country lane and we spent much of the time dodging pheasants and squirrels running across the road - quite an experience and if Ollie could have got out of the car he would have been off chasing them! In the village the local pub The Hand is well worth a visit and booking is advisable if you want to sample some of the delicious food. On the way to nearby Chirk you will also find a Smokery selling various smoked goods including the local trout. The natural scenery in this part of Wales is truly breathtaking and there are plenty of nearby towns and villages to explore some of which are home to the great engineers' aqueducts and viaducts not to mention the many steam trains that seem to operate in the area. There's enough to find to do if you want to but equally if you like a quiet relaxing and comfortable holiday then this is an excellent choice and can by enjoyed at any time of the year. We can't recommend this accommodation highly enough. "

"As a 'get away' from it all location it was idyllic. Lovely rolling hillsides gentle bleeting of baby lambs quaint stream bubbling just below the decking and a hot tub that was mmmmmm. It was great to sit in and watch the stars come out when the outside temperature was only 3 degrees. "
