A rural idyll on the Dee estuary in north Cheshire once a medieval deer park is the wholly delightful setting for this cluster of four newly converted barns. Smartly furnished and very comfortable they are perfect for holidays at any time of year. The cottages sit round the perimeter of an enclosed ½ acre orchard and lawn amidst pastureland affording plenty of space for tranquil relaxation yet within 15 miles of both the beautiful city of Chester and Liverpool vibrant city of culture. Contrasting cities they offer a huge range of year round attractions: Liverpool's Albert Dock is a UNESCO World Heritage site home to the Tate Liverpool art gallery the International Slavery Museum and the Beatles Story. Chester boasts Roman city walls lovely riverside terraces designer shopping and a world famous zoo. Sandy beaches lie 6 miles away at West Kirby also site of a marine lake for windsurfing and the Wirral Country Park provides miles of scenic walking and cycling whilst further afield Snowdonia and the Lake District make great day trips. Parkgate (1 mile) offers restaurants café three pubs a general store and superb ice cream.

"Jacqui and Clive made us feel very welcome with freshly baked fruit muffins on the kitchen table when we arrived. The large farmhouse kitchen is the centre of the house and with all the utensils and facilities you need. Lovely cleanly decorated bedrooms and fresh clean towel bales for each person. Fantastic bathrooms one with a Jacuzzi bath and one en-suite shower room and downstairs a large walk in shower room. The beds and pillows were so comfortable too. We spent a day a Chester races and had a fantastic day as the weather was fabulous only about 20 minutes drive from The Coach House. A wonderful weekend and we will definitely be back! "
