Ideally located to explore the many delights of Northumbria - both golden, sandy beaches and heathery hills in rolling countryside. Bustling market towns and pretty villages are scattered across the region: Corbridge, well known for excellent restaurants, great pubs, galleries and shops is worth a visit, as is Hexham - voted Britain’s favourite market town by Country Life magazine. Blanchland, set in an AONB, is one of the most attractive villages in the area. Walking, sailing and fishing all close by at Derwent Reservoir. Nearby Slaley Hall stands elegantly in 1,000 acres of beautiful forest and moorland with a championship golf course, home to the Great North Open. Sparkling cities like Newcastle and Durham are thriving with lots of shopping, culture and nightlife, not forgetting the passion for football, rugby and cricket.
