This superb, romantic, 17th-century holiday cottage, perfect for couples, is nestled in a select site on a small, tranquil, leafy lane just off the heart of the very historical conservation village of Ebchester. Adjoining another property, it boasts expansive countryside views to the rear which houses horses, wildlife and sometimes red kites. A Roman fort lies beneath the fields and the area is peppered with Roman ruins and artefacts. Try the Derwent Walk, or visit the Pennines for more walks, cycling and breathtaking scenery in an AONB. The delights of Durham city with its cathedral, castle, fine shops and galleries are close by. There are several beaches, shops, nightlife, rowing, hot air ballooning and paintballing available locally. Only 40 minutes from the Heritage Northumbrian coastline.
