Southwold boasts predominantly Georgian and Victorian architecture and has a wealth of individual shops and boutiques, restaurants and traditional public houses serving the locally brewed Adnams Ale. An excellent base for exploring the Suffolk Heritage coastline with neighbouring towns and villages such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Orford and Dunwich all well worth a visit. Take a trip across the River Blyth by foot ferry to explore the picturesque village of Walberswick, returning via the footbridge for an enjoyable day out or visit the nearby RSPB reserve at Minsmere.
