This spacious, detached, former family country house is an ideal retreat for all generations, whether it’s a break for that special occasion or a family holiday. The property is located on a working farm and features large living rooms, a games room and four cosy wood-burning stoves as well as a generous garden for relaxing. Parts of this delightful house date back over 400 years, so plenty of traditional features mixed with contemporary living await you and Old Horton Grange will be sure to delight every age group. Centrally located to explore all the delights of this friendly county, all in easy driving distance. The picturesque town of Ponteland is nearby with plenty of shops and eateries suitable for all ages. A charming award-winning farm shop centre is only a couple of minutes’ drive. Easily accessible are all the attractions of the county including Hadrian’s Wall and the Cheviots. An easy drive takes you to the miles of golden sandy beaches scattered along the Heritage Coast, peppered with castles, friendly villages and ideal for water enthusiasts and perfect for lovely days out. Further along the coast you will find Holy Island, not to be missed for a fascinating day trip (watch out for the tides), Alnwick with its famous castle used in Harry Potter and the enchanting water gardens can be reached in around 45 minutes. Newcastle with its regenerated quayside, galleries, theatres and an array of shops is only 15 minutes’ drive. Shop 1½ miles, pub 2½ miles.
